What you can expect from this webinar

Saving Energy with KNX Weather Stations 2:
Blind Control for Complex Buildings

In the second part of our webinar series on automated sun protection control with KNX weather stations, you will learn how to implement precise and energy-efficient façade automation even in complex buildings – with extended control options, safety-related functions and finely tuned parameters.

Using the Suntracer KNX pro weather station as an example, you will learn:

  • how to set up fully automatic shading for up to 12 façades – including individual alignment and tilt,
  • how louvre and shadow edge tracking work and how to adapt them to different louvre types,
  • how to correctly integrate safety functions such as wind and frost protection, live telegram monitoring and additional wind sensors,
  • and how you can save additional energy through targeted parameterisation – for example, via pyranometers, outdoor temperature locks or time switch functions.

Who is the webinar suitable for?
For experienced system integrators, specialist planners and KNX professionals who want to plan, expand and optimise complex shading scenarios – especially in larger or architecturally demanding buildings.

Note:
The basics of installation, zone control and ETS configuration are covered in the first part, ‘Sun protection control for smart homes’. Participation is not required, but recommended for beginners.
